Pin-Up Inspired

Hello my sweets :) This look here is inspired by the famous pin-up styles that seem to be a big thing again. I really had a lot of fun creating this look especially my lips. I think that red just might be the color for me. There are so many ways to create a pin-up look, this was just the route that worked best for me. Although the blending was a bit of pain I still managed to pull it off. lol.
So to create this look I started off with my brows. I filled them in using my Urban Decay Black Palette taking the shade Black Dog and a small angle brush to create the shape I wanted to my brows to be. After filling, I then took my HD concealer from NYX and concealed them giving my brows a more sharper edge.
For my eyes I started off by applying a piece of tape to the edge so I could create that perfect line. I covered the entire lid using my jumbo pencil in milk also from NYX and blending it up into my crease and right below my lashes. Using my BH Cosmetics 88 Tropical Matte palette I used the light golden brown shade and started from the tape applying inwards and blending it out to give it a transitional look. Then went in with a shade darker to the crease to make it more define. Using Black Dog from Urban Decay I applied it to the outer corner and slightly blending it onto the brown to give it more of a dramatic look. I then applied my eyeliner creating my wing and also applied it to the water line.
My lips.! For my lips I used Milani's lipstick in Red Label #05 and applied it all over my lips filling them in to get the look I was really wanting to achieve. Next using my red glitter I bought from a craft store and my Sally's glue adhesive, I applied the glitter all over the lipstick giving the lips a little more sparkle :)
I hope this was helpful to you <3

Before and After

Hello my Sweets. So this blog is basically me giving myself credit on how much I feel I have improved as a makeup artist in just little over a year. The picture above is a leopard print look I did. the one on the left was done in April of 2012 and the right was done June 2013. When I first started really getting into my makeup I wasn't really sure what I was doing (as you can see) lol. I was just a girl having fun not worrying about how it looked. Today I am so amazed and proud on how far I have come. Not only is the look better but I have learned how to blend and master eyeliner which was always the hardest part for me back then.

The look below is a glitter look I created. And like above the one on the left was from June 2012 and the right was from July 2013. When I first started my glitter looks I was unaware on the proper steps to follow on how to get the perfect look. I had a great conversation with the love Cecile from GlitterGirlC who not only inspired me with the glitter brows, but also encouraged me by giving great and helpful tips on how to improve my looks. I was so honored and happy to have her assistance. She was so sweet and gave such great advice that now I can create the looks without them looking so crazy haha.

I hope you all enjoyed this blog. Always believe in yourself and do not be afraid to ask for help if you think you need it :)

Glitter Reviews..!!!!

Hello my Sweet Creations :)
So a few days ago I was out doing some shopping and I came across these glitters at Michael's. Now I know there are some people who might not agree with using glitters bought from craft stores to create looks with, but to me I look at it as a to each its own kinda thing. The ones I bought (pictured above) are specifically designed for face and body. They might not be the top name brands that most people would recommend but who says everything has to be name brand. I honestly love these and the colors are so amazing and they are very easy to use. They are also ultra fine so they have a soft feel to them which is awesome because it doesn't hurt my skin/

These pictures here (above and below) are just some examples of a couple of looks I created using my "craft store" glitters. Like I said I love them. They look exactly like the ones you can buy at other places except these do not cost as much. Maybe one day I might breakdown and buy some of the other brands but for now these are my favorite. I will be working on more looks soon using different colors, until then I hope you enjoyed this review and if you have any questions or concerns please comment below and I will be sure to respond back as quickly as possible.

Q&A

Hello to all my sweet creators. So this blog is going to be based on questions that you all may have for me. I will try to answer these questions the best I can without confusing you all too much :) Hope this is helpful to you all.If you have more questions please leave them in the comment section and I will post answers as soon as possible.

Q-Is there something that can make the shadow stay on without traveling to my crease? A- I would love to say yes to this but sadly all primers that I have used do that no matter the brand. It could also be too that you lids may tend to get a bit oily and that can also make your shadow travel. I have noticed that when I use my setting spray it tends to last a little bit longer but by the end of the day because my lids tend to get oily it smears in the crease a little. So I would definitely try that to see how it works :)

Q-Which eye base is best? A-Personally I love to use NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk. It really makes the colors pop and stand out more than the other brands. It is very easy to use and doesn't cost too much.

Q-What are your remedies for chapped lips? A-Wow this one is really hard because I have been battling that for the longest. I try to keep my lips moist as much as possible throughout the day especially when I am in the sun. Also too when I wash my face I like to use a little bit of the face wash on lips and gently scrub them with a damp cloth to try and remove some of the dry skin.

BH Cosmetics Hollywood Palette

Hello my sweet creators :) So here is the Hollywood palette from BH Cosmetics. As of right now I am a little unsure about how I feel about this one. The colors are great as you can see from the swatches below, but there are a few that tend to be a tad bit hard to apply. I dunno maybe I am not using the right primer or something who knows lol . But for the price you cant beat it. Not to mention the pretty blushes that comes with the palette.

My camera gives these colors no justice at all :( The top shows all of the blues, greens, purples, and yellow. I believe that so far that lime green color and the yellow are my tow fav. As for the bottom I am really digging that pink (third from left ) and the one and the end (on the right) Those two colors are really pretty and very pigmented .
As of right now I have not created any looks with these colors but plan on doing one very soon. I hope that this review was somewhat helpful to you all. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Star Crushed Minerals

Hello beauty lovers. So Star Crushed Minerals. Let me just say this. I LOVE THEM...!!!! I recently got these amazing shadows and blush a couple of days ago and I quickly have fell in love with. The colors are amazing and so highly pigmented. Although some tend to have fallout (as so do others) I honestly cannot find anything wrong with them. They also have their own primer which too is awesome. I can say however that the primer feels a  little more on the oily based side but it works great and is so easy to use. I think my favorite colors so far would have to be Orange Poppy and Skinning Dipping. Oh and the Blush in Merlot is also great. Though when using it I would strongly recommend that you use very little until you get use to it because like I said they are very pigmented. Other than that I would so recommend these to any and everyone.

For this look I used Skinny Dipping, Blueberry, Black Hills Gold, Pomegranate, and Black Amethyst on the eyes. And for the blush I used Merlot :)
