Hello Beauties. So today I wanted to talk to you all about the Nyx Cosmetics HD Studio Foundations. Now usually I have been loving their Mineral Stick foundation and have been using them every day for highlight, contour, and just the basic foundation routine. Well while I was in Ulta a few weeks back I found these on sell for only $4.95 I believe and I thought wow I have to try these out. I thought that since the stick foundations were amazing that maybe I would love these just the same. So not true.

My first time using this particular foundation I was a little nervous. I have never used any type of liquid foundation before so I was a little unsure of how it was going to turn out. Once I started applying it to my face I noticed that it did not have the best coverage I was looking for and seemed to be very runny. So I was like, okay well maybe I ma just not used to it yet and maybe after I practice a few more times I will get the hang of it and get it to look flawless.

Needless to say I still do not like it. After several attempts of playing around with them, I still feel as though I am not getting the best coverage that I am looking for and it makes my skin tone look more yellow, which I also don't like. I still am in love with Mineral Stick Foundations though lol and as of now, they are the only foundation, that is not a powder, that I use.

I guess it is safe to say when items such as these are on sale for a really low price then they must not be the best. However, I still and will always use Nyx products because they are so affordable and are always coming out with new items that I do love. I hope this post was a little helpful to those who may be having similar problems. If you have a favorite brand of foundation that you cannot live without, please post them in the comments below as I am always looking for new products to test out.

I hope you all are having a wonderful day and always remember that you are Beautiful...!!!!!!

New Look...!!!! ColourPop Cosmetics

Hello Beauties. So I finally got around to do something fun and colorful for you all today. At first I tried something a little more simple but decided that it was not right for what I wanted to go for so I started over and came up with this :)

For this look I used all my ColourPop eye shadows that I own which was like 5 out of 6 lol. I used Ibiza, Glowstix, Slave2Pink, Erotic, and Fizz. For some reason I find that using my fingers work best when applying these shadows so that is what I did. I tried using one of my brushes but it just was not working so I stuck with my fingers and just patted the colors on in the areas where I wanted them. This really helped with making sure that the colors came out vibrant and bright as ever. I know I know, a lot of you are probably thinking there is no way that I blended them without using a brush but I did. Because these products are almost a creamy base product it makes them more blendable and very easy to work with especially when using your fingers :)

In the photo above I used Ibiza, Fizz, and Slave2Pink on my lips, as opposed to the bottom photo I just went with a nude lip. For my brows I was inspired by a dear friend of mine and used my Nyx Cosmetics Color Mascara in Perfect Pear to help make the look a little more dramatic. To achieve the dots as shown in the bottom picture I just used my liquid eyeliner from E.l.f Cosmetics and just dotted them own in the areas I thought were best. For my blush/contour I used a peachy orange mixed with brownish color from my Bh Cosmetics 10 Color Blush palette.

So yeah that is basically it for this look lol. If you have any questions about the products used please post them in the comments below and I will be sure to answer them as best as possible. As always I hope you all are having a wondering day and never forget that You Are Beautiful...!!!! #DareToBeBold

Products Used:
  • Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk (base)
  • Nyx Color Mascara in Perfect Pear
  • ColourPop Cosmetics in Fizz, Erotic, Slave2Pink, Ibiza, and Glowstix

  • Bh Cosmetics 10 Color Blush Palette

ToDyeFor Cosmetics

Hello Beauties. So today I wanted to talk to you all about this amazing company called ToDyeFor Cosmetics. The products they offer are Velvet Glitter Lipsticks and I can honestly say that this is the best glitter lippies I have every tried. I was fortunate to receive 11 different shades from them to do a review on. At first I was kind of unsure about how well they worked and if they really were waterproof but that has all changed.

My first time trying these I made a complete mess lol. They come with a glue adhesive that you would apply like any other lip gloss. Once you apply it, you let it get a little tacky then go in with the glitter of your choice and apply it on as desired. The color payoff on these are super amazing as well as the coverage. And the best part they are 100% waterproof.

When I went to remove the glitter lipstick I literally had to scrub my lips with a warm washcloth and soap. That was the only way it would come off lol. I tried makeup wipes, baby oil and makeup remover but none of that worked. Which I thought was pretty awesome especially if you want to wear it out because unlike any normal lipstick that you might have to reapply throughout the night, these you do not :)

Here are just a few looks I have created with some of the different colors that I own. I cannot stress enough how amazing these are. If you ever want full coverage glitter lips that will not rub off I highly recommend you purchasing some of these. I promise you will absolutely fall in love the same way I did.
I hope this blog was very helpful to you all. If you have any questions that I did not answer please feel free to leave them in the comments below and I will try my very best to answer this as soon as possible. I hope you are all having a wonderful day and never forget that you are beautiful...!!!

My Big Secret...!!!!

Hello everyone. So I just wanted to fill you all in on my secret I posted about last night on my Facebook page. On January 5th of this year I had to have all of my top teeth removed. I was so ashamed and embarrassed that I never told anyone with the exception of a few until now. In February I had to go back and have another operation done to my lip which caused all the swelling you see in the photo above. my doctor then said that there was a strong possibility of me needing one more surgery to smooth out the bones and and gums but when I went in this passed Monday he said that I was in the clear and would not have to have anymore surgeries done.

A lot of you all have been asking me about posting videos and such on the ways I do my makeup and this is the reason why I have not yet done so. However, now that I am fully healed and will be getting some new teeth I will be sure to do as many videos as I can.

I am not posting this to get pity or to make you all feel sorry for me. I wanted to share this with you because we often take for granted how beautiful we are regardless if we are missing teeth, or are over weight, bad acne and so on... We often let the thoughts of others bring us down and make us feel less beautiful about ourselves and that is not fair. We need to learn how to love ourselves for who we are regardless of any flaws we think we may have. No one is perfect. No one was born to be perfect. We are all different. We come in different shapes, sizes, and color.

It is so sad to me that people look at all these celebrities and famous makeup artist and envy them. Wishing they could look like they do or have the "perfect bodies". But the truth is once you remove all the hair, the makeup, and even the silicone butts and boobs, they are just regular people like you and I. Let's stop trying to be like everyone else and start being individuals. Let us take pride in the bodies we were born in and start loving ourselves the way we are.

You are all beautiful in my eyes and I truly hope that this inspires you to take pride in the skin you are in. Never let another persons opinion effect the way you look. Hope you all are having a wonderful night and just know that if no one else loves you, I do.

BH Cosmetics Haul

BH Cosmetics Haul and Review

Hello again to all you wonderful peeps :) So as you know I recently made a purchase from one of my favorite brands BH Cosmetics. I ordered their Dark Rose Eyeliner, Blush, and Eyeshadow palette, the 10 piece Professional Blush palette, the Contour and Blush 2 palette, as well as their 14 piece Party Girl Brush Set.

Awhile back I had purchased the first contour and blush palette as well as a set of their brushes and fell in love with them both so of course I had to purchase more. What I like most about BH Cosmetics is that you get your monies worth. I truly love their products. I have yet to make a purchase from them that I wasn't satisfied with. They have so many great products to choose from that it makes it hard to choose just one item lol. Just to give you an example of how amazing they are lets get into the swatches...!!!!!

First up is the 10 piece  Professional Blush palette. This palette offers different shades of blushes. You have your oranges, pinks, and then the more neutral tones. As you can see in the photo above the colors show very well and great part is you can build the colors to your standards. You can choose to keep them soft and natural or go brighter and bold :) This palette would make a great addition to your makeup kits as well especially if you do makeup for clients.

Next up is the Contour and Blush 2 palette. As I stated before I already own the first contour and blush palette and fell in love so I just had to buy this one to see if it is as amazing as the first and the answer is yes...!!!  For the swatches I used my finger to apply them and did not use any type of base and as you can see the color payoff is just amazing. Another great product to invest. The two colors on the right end are the blushes and very gorgeous I might add. And the best part is it only cost $11.95 which to be honest is a great price. The first palette I have had for about a year now and it still has a ton pf product in it so it last forever.

Here we have the Dark Rose palette which includes 12 eye shadows, 3 blushes, and their liquid eyeliner pen. Again another great product. For the eyeshadows I did use a white base to apply the shadows over and as you can see the colors are just as gorgeous as they look. They were very easy to apply and really didn't require to much product to get the colors to show. The first three colors on the far left are the blushes and again I didn't use any type of base when applying them only my finger :) This palette is simply amazing and the packaging is super cute. Price for this one- $12.95

And finally the brushes...!!! Can we just take a second and just admire the true beauty of these gorgeous brushes. Lol. The metallic purple case is just awesome and the colors on the brushes, I mean you can't ask for a cuter set. I fell in love the first time I ever tried their brushes so I had to purchase these babies. What I like about them is with each set they offer you get a beautiful case and a variety of different styles. They are super soft and dense and not too mention very easy to clean. They are great for those who are just starting out in makeup and don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of dollars for brushes. Honestly to me they are just as great, if not better, then some of the higher end brushes.  If you are like me and can't see paying $50 or more for a set of brushes then these are for you :)

Well that is all I have for right now. I truly hope that is review was helpful to all those who had questions about their products. I tried to be a thorough as possible. Everyone has different views and opinions. This is just my honest opinion. So if you have anymore question please feel free to ask and I will answer them as best as possible. Hope you all have a great day <3 nbsp="" p="">

Sincerely,
Amanda

Playful Makeup

Hi everyone. So for today's look I used a multiple of products and many shades of purples, pinks, and orange. At first I was intending on going for something a little smoky but it didn't quite go the way as planned lol. Anyways I really hope you all enjoy and here is a list or products used as well as the placement.

For the eyes, I started off with and base and for that I used the NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk.
Next, I applied a transition color to help create the crease and for that I used the Sleek Makeup Ultra Matte palette in the shade Floss. I then built up my crease using that same palette going in with the shade Pout.

Once I got the desired crease, I went back in using the same palette and applied the color Sugarlite to the lid area blending it slightly in the crease and bringing the color to the outer eye to create a wing shape. That color really didn't pop the way I wanted so I used My Beauty Addiction in the color After Party and applied it over Sugarlite and blended it into the pink. I kept repeating this step until I got the desired look I was going for. Finally to help build that crease color I went back in with the color Strike from the same Sleek palette just to help give it that right amount of pop :)

To finish the eyes, I applied a black eyeliner to the lower lash line and water line and smudged the same colors I used on the top to that area adding just a small amount of Black Dog from the Urban Decay Black palette to help give it that smoky look. Applied your wing eyeliner as desired and you all finished with the eyes...!!!

For the lips I used NYX Butter Lipstick in the color Hot Tamale and then applied Sensuous from Beauty Bar Baby to the center for that extra something lol.

Hope this was very helpful to those who may want to retry this look.  Remember you don't have to own these exact products to create this, just any colors that you may have similar will work. Have a great day and thank you for checking out my blog...
